A particular time of reflection - MND Week May 1-7

The annual MND Week is a time when MND Associations around Australia focus on raising the profile of MND through all genres of the media and a variety of activities. It is also a time when we pay tribute to the wider MND community - individuals and families currently living with MND, those who have died from MND, their carers and the health and community care professionals who by their commitment and skills make such a difference to managing throughout the course of the disease.

2011 is a landmark year for MND Australia and the Australian MND community as the International Symposium of ALS/MND will be held in Sydney in November/December.

The clinical stream of this international meeting is relevant to GPs, medical specialists, palliative care professionals, nurses, allied health professionals and personal care workers.

The themes of the Symposium and accompanying Allied Health Professionals Forum will be available soon.
