Oliver, D. 2010 'Patients with Cognitive Change - the challenge for families and professionals'

paper presented at the Allied Professionals Forum (APF), Orlando, Florida 10 December 2010. The APF is held on the day preceding the International ALS/MND Symposium each year.

Dr Oliver is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester, England and is a Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Kent. He has been involved in caring for people living with MND for many years and is a strong advocate for involving palliative care services from diagnosis. His talk provides case studies to highlight the impact of cognitive change on their family and professionals involved in their care. He also provides some strategies to assist with managing patients with cognitive change.
