The MND Aware training sessions have been designed to be used as a self-paced learning tool for health and community care professionals working with people living with MND. You can find out how to use the sessions here.
- Introductory sessions (session 1 to session 9) provide an overview of MND and a self-test quiz.
- Symptom management sessions (session 10 to session 19) provide a more detailed look at how MND symptoms are managed by the care team and a self-test quiz.
- Wellbeing and support need sessions (session 20 to session 26) provide a more detailed look at the wellbeing and support needs of the person living with MND and their carer, family and friends and a self-test quiz.
To move through the session use the forward button when you are ready to move to the next slide. You can go back at any time.
The sessions are narrated - each session has an audio voice-over.
Session objectives are listed on Slide 2 of each session. If you would like to refer back to the session objectives while viewing a later slide, click the objectives button on the top left of the screen to view the session objectives quick reference window.
Some sessions include additional slides that go into more detail about the particular topic. You will notice these slides by the presence of a small black arrow in the slide contents list. Click the arrow to select a slide.
Each session has a Notes tab. As you move from slide to slide, the Notes will display the audio script for active slide.
Full session notes (transcript) can be viewed or downloaded in pdf format. To access the session notes for a particular session, open the session and click the attachments tab from any slide.
Some session have web links. Clicking the web link will take you to an external website.
