Focus on carers
There is growing evidence that the provision of appropriate support for carers during the course of life limiting disease and into bereavement can reduce the risk of complicated grief.
A particular time of reflection - MND Week May 1-7
The annual MND Week is a time when MND Associations around Australia focus on raising the profile of MND through all genres of the media and a variety of activities. It is also a time when we pay tribute to the wider MND community - individuals and families currently living with MND, those who have died from MND, their carers and the health and community care professionals who by their commitment and skills make such a difference to managing throughout the course of the disease.
Thank you for your interest and dedication in your work with MND clients.
The focus for April's MNDcare newsletter is the Allied Professional's Forum. This forum, specifically for social, nursing, palliative and allied health professionals, is held annually the day prior to the main program of the International Symposium on ALS/MND.
