Research into the possible causes of and treatments for motor neurone disease is being conducted at many universities and research centres throughout Australia. Clinical and social research to ensure the best possible care and support for people living with MND is also increasingly being conducted in Australia.
The MND Research Institute of Australia (MNDRIA) is the research arm of MND Australia and every dollar MNDRIA receives for research is spent on research. The state MND associations direct most donations they receive for MND research to MNDRIA which administers and allocates grants in Australia.
The MNDRIA website lists current Australian grant opportunties for research into motor neurone disease. For more information visit
